Obama needed someone with a lengthy track record and foreign policy experience...of all the maybes, Biden best fit it.

Biden is best fit for the job of Secretary of State.
But VP will work just fine.
Unlike Lieberman or Edwards, Biden will crush in the VP debate whoever the GOP running mate will be.
