There's a lot of speculation on the J! board that something indeed is in the works - they noted that Ken Jennings, Brad Rutter and Bob were seen in the audience at a J! taping a couple months ago.TheConfessor wrote:I really like Bob and I liked his book, but I can't fathom why this video feature would be in the national media this week. I think his Trebekistan book came out almost two years ago, so it would be considered ancient history by networks, which normally focus only on new releases. It's rare to see something like this unless it's part of a promotional campaign for something. I kept waiting for the punch line that never came. I thought maybe this was leading up to an announcement that Jeopardy would be having a big 25th anniversary tournament, and Bob would be back in action, or something like that.
Anyone else agree or disagree? Any theories on why CBS showed this?
Ken mentioned on his blog that he had just completed doing a TV pilot, which I assume was "Ken Jennings Vs. the World."earendel wrote:There's a lot of speculation on the J! board that something indeed is in the works - they noted that Ken Jennings, Brad Rutter and Bob were seen in the audience at a J! taping a couple months ago.TheConfessor wrote:I really like Bob and I liked his book, but I can't fathom why this video feature would be in the national media this week. Maybe he's dating the segment producer?TheConfessor wrote:I really like Bob and I liked his book, but I can't fathom why this video feature would be in the national media this week. ---Jay (Merv Griffin was this old when he Jeopardy! premiered - if you know how old that is, you will know the number of days until my episode is expected to air)
