I think it takes a snapshot every so often, and shows whoever is logged in then.
It's not...crap, what is the word that means real-time, organic, something......the word is not "continuous".....it can be used with the word interface, like "----- interface", to mean continuously updating as things happen. Crap. I think it starts with a G, and it's not groovy.
Dynamic. A dynamic interface. It is not a dynamic interface, which would update the users continuously.
The G is silent, I think.

I think there is just a lag, along with the fact that users will disappear off the list if they are in the process of typing up a post, or if they stray off of viewing the messages themselves (Looking up a profile, searching for past posts, etc.)
The list changes enough that I don't think it's a snapshot, but I also know it's not 100% accurate in who's here and who isn't....
