Reading Uday being annoyed and insulted by wb's post and my little thing with HoltDad the other day, reminded me of my velcro theory. Given I am a sharer, I will share it with you.

There is this parlor dart game. The bull's eye target has velcro on it, as do the little ball 'darts'. The velcro of the 'darts' is either male or female and the velcro of the target is the opposite. So, the 'darts' will stick to the target, but not to anything else that is not prepared to be stuck to by the 'darts'.

We humans are annoyed and insulted (the 'darts' stick) by different things (some darts stick and others do not). It all depends on our personal velcro (the velcro we have attached to our annoyance and insult meter). It also depends on the velcro of the thrower - if their velcro will stick to ours.

I am all ready and always ready to have HotDad's velcro stick to mine and annoy me, while others of you see his 'dart' coming and it doesn't stick to your velcro. Same thing happened with Uday and wb - his dart stuck to her target and didn't stick to Bob##s or skoops.

I think I will just say "VELCRO" from now on and avoid the whole pissing match.

I will look at the velcro people in my life in a new light after reading your post. You're absolutely right. Some people you can ignore and others just get under your skin. I try to work with myself to just let the comments slough off, but sometimes they just stick.

The velcro theory works with me, that's for sure!

I loved the Sniglet that called the parts Posicro and Neucro.

I don't think I have much Neucro, if any. Velcro doesn't stick to glass or steel. I'm guessing I'm more like glass, because I'm pretty transparent.

The worst thing about Velcro is how even the tiniest patch bunches up everything in the dryer....
