Have you ever experienced a living cliche?

Last night, I attended an alternative energy forum in my town because a guy who does geothermal installations was going to be there, and I wanted to learn more about it.
I walk in, and I am not kidding...I felt like I had walked into a refugee camp for Woodstock attendees.
I don't think I have ever seen so many aging hippies gathered together in one place outside of a Grateful Dead concert before.

Sounds like how I felt attending a local comic book convention a few months back. Aside from the more buxom super-heroines with the more revealing costumes in the drawings and the piercings in the vendors, it would not have been out of place in 1969.

I'm sure we are. Neighbors are suprised when I tell them I talk with you people about game shows and such. It's my niche and I'm proud of it. (snicker, snicker)
I also ran into a bunch of old surfer dudes in San Diego. It was like I'd walk into grey-haired Beach Blanket Bingo movie set. It was fun people watching. . .
