My wife's father passed away last October in Flordia. We live in Texas, and my wife's two siblings both live in Connecticut. Her brother and her uncle are the executors but unfortunately there has been a lot of stuff going on and it doesn't appear that it has all been above board. It seems that she really needs a good estate lawyer, one that is licensed in Florida but we can work with from here in Texas as well.
Does anyone know anyone who could do this or at least guide us on the best way to go about finding one? How does one asses if an estate lawyer is good? This is one area I have zero aptitude in.
Thanks in advance
---Jay

I think they have some decent lawyers in Nigeria. They seem to know how to use the internet.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

The only BB lawyer I know of who lives in Florida got discouraged by the cold shoulder treatment on the audition circuit; I don't think he's posted for a few years, now. But we have enough lawyers among us that one of them ought to have a suggestion or two through their professional networking.
Have you considered a South Carolinian lawyer who occasionally dresses as a flying monkey?
