Both have names that are taken up by females and almost never by men - but they are actually based on male animals.
Bambi was a male deer - but you would be hard-pressed in finding a guy calling himself Bambi.
Pea, of course is female and a Peacock is the male bird - as oppossed to the Peahen. Telling a female that she is a pretty as a peacock is acceptable, I'm not sure the same holds for telling that to the majority of men.
