Do you think you might have room on one of your floors in about 2 years for some Olympic hobos/gypsies? Not spiders or moths, btw, just Wellmans. I'm teasing. In all seriousness, we started talking about going to the next games during the last winter games. I reminded E and S that you lived there and I'd like to see you!

Be ready!

We'd love it, but it would be one heck of a commute each day, about 2 1/2 hours on the ferry and bus from my place on the island to the mainland. I am sure there will be special trip packages too though, so it is not out of the realm of possibilities. I can see a day package together, bus, ferry and event. My floor is your floor LOL. But, for sure, add some time on for visiting and other such here on the Lord's Island. There's tons of things to do here as well, during the Games down times.

I love it when the BB's visit, right Snaxx?????

Why do I think there is a story here?

Well, poor Snaxx flew up from Seattle for a visit, and the plane trip (little 10 seater hopper thingie) was a tad rough LOL. I think the plane home was a little better. Then, when Txgrandma came for a visit, she took the ferry from Seattle. We had a lovely visit, but her trip home was a horror, with bad weather, the direct ferry to Seattle was cancelled, and they bussed them on the big ferry over to Vancouver, then bussed them down to Seattle, about an extrq 10 hours travel.

However, the visits here are great. We have, in no particular order - The Butchart Gardens, the Fairmont Empress, Royal BC Museum, Whale Watching trips (March is excellent for the Humpback Migration from Alaska), Deep Sea Fishing, Year Round Golf, Northern Rain Forest, etc etc, etc.

Don't worry about us Saucy. We have a niece in White Rock with a guest house. We would love to come out to B.C. again but it may be a bad time during the Olympics. We have a year and a half to think about it.

If I could recommend anything, it would be Butchart Gardens. Fabulous.

You're on that island? I wish I'd realized. Last December, Ms. 63 informed me that I'd already bought my birthday present to her (it's in May). We had three tickets to the Anne Murray concert in Victoria. It was beautiful -- I wish we'd traveled at a more leisurely pace. Of course, I often think that when I'm vacationing with Ms. 63. --Bob

Just out of curiosity, how many BBs can your floor accomodate? :)

Funny

The Family Moonie were discussing this last night! Would anyone mind if we camped out in the Saucy backyard for a few weeks?

Well technically, I only have a deck, and March is a rather wet month, but hey, we can sling up a tarp LOL

All the Moons would be most welcome. I just put Big J in storage

Heck--cold, Shmold!

I figured the Moonies and the Wellmans would camp quite nicely together (They have all the proper equipment, I think)

We'd bring plenty of hot chocolate and blankets!

(and, er, Big J can come out for a lil while, cant he?! :))

I'm thinking this sounds like a fine plan! Do you think that Saucy's neighbors would mind a big bonfire? We must have Smores, you know? BTW, where in the world did that treat of the Gods originate? YUM!

We do have the proper equipment, that's for sure! Sleeping bags for everyone! (Big J too) If Saucy can't accommodate us, maybe a nice forest could. LOL
