All the auditioners they've already seen during the summer auditions, all they're seeing on the road trips, all they're going to be seeing at the taping auditions...and they're still looking for more WE's.

Question for those who know. I reserved Monday and Tuesday of that week. A.) Am I allowed to come to this open call even though I am trying out at the studio a week later? (I figured it may be better for me to try out before school started and have two shots at it...plus, if I pass the call next week, I could go to just the taping more relaxed, And B.) If I am allowed, how much notice do I get as far as time? A couple hours, a day?

A) Certainly, you're allowed! Unlike a show like Jeopardy!, which has a strict once-a-year limit to taking the test, WWTBAM has no such limits. (Whether you get a better reception at your second, third...twentieth interview is another issue.) Occasionally, BBs do fail to pass the written test, so it's good if you have the opportunity to schedule more that one attempt.

B) They should send an e-mail response to your request within a couple days or so.

I would encourage you bondguy to attend the evening audition. The producers will have their full attention on you instead of worrying about running the show during a taping. I believe the only reason they do auditions during tapings to get the audience full without having to pay unemployed actors. People do get picked from audience auditions, but I would imagine it is a lot less than non-taping auditions.

I was picked from an audience audition and called 2 days later.

It sounds like it is easy enough for you to get to the evening auditions, so I say go for it if you want to. I don't know the stats on audience audition vs. dedicated audition success rates.

I will say if you pass the test though, plan to put your best foot forward. These are going to be the same staff people for sure (at the evening audition and taping auditions) so if you pass I would say your first interview is your best chance. Otherwise you risk them remembering you (so close in time) and not even being open to you a second time.

Obviously I have no insider information, that's just my perspective based on conversations I've had and things I've picked up.
