Etaoin gave a dissertation on the original lyrics when I had this in my Lyrically Speaking game a few months ago. But I can't remember his point anymore (or even if I understood it then, ha!).

We would sing it over and over again at school. These lyrics are c. about 3rd grade.

I was busted twice for using the Emil verse in previous LS games since it was apparently not in the radio version of the song. But he definitely leads off with the Emil verse in the Beat Club appearance they play occasionally on VH1C....

I've REALLY been enjoying the '70's channel on Sirius radio in the car. My teens are ready to puke. They're sure digging up some excellent off-the-beaten-track moldies.

Does anyone remember "Floy Joy," "Oh Babe, What Would You Say?" and "It's So Nice To Be With You? Those were fun, forgot about those.
