Calm before the storm edition.
Got an e-mail notice that my tux had shown up, a day early. Went to pick it up right away, because tomorrow is going to be hectic enough without worrying about my own clothing.
Got more boxes from UHaul to load up. Also furniture pads and a mattress bag. No idea how long these things will be in storage.
Realized I'd forgotten to fill out a form that CA needs for the PODS, claiming inspection for gypsy moths. Since nothing going into the thing has been stored outside (except, of course, when I'm loading the thing), there should be no problem. Problem was how to get the form to them, since they only gave a fax number, and I'm at home with no fax machine. Managed to get an e-mail address from them, and sent a scan of the completed form.
GW's friend and goddaughter arrived on time last night. We got back around 1:30 AM. They are helping out with stuff today. Got home last night, went up to the guest room, and found our two cats, one on the main bed, one on the trundle. "Hey, thanks for the new digs, man!"
FSIL is getting in a few hours earlier than first thought, at a more decent hour. More or less direct flight as well, so we hope delays are minimal, and preferably non-existent.
Tomorrow will be busy. The immediate world is showing up, and I need to travel out to pick up HS, his GF, his tux, their stuff, and I don't know what else.
Oh, the road construction has apparently been delayed, thank ghu. Not this week, anyway. I'd prefer not next week, too, but if it comes to that, the departure of the PODS can be put off for a few days.
We shall see if I get a few minutes to blog tomorrow or Friday. Saturday and Sunday are certainly "no entry" days. Cover me, gang, I'm goin' in! Ciao, baby!
