Wedding Blog: BD**2 - 5

Creeping ever closer ...
BD is off taking advantage of one of her shower gifts - a gift certificate to a local spa. Getting a massage and I think a pedicure.
GW just went grocery shopping. We're gonna have a ton of people here in the next few days, especially as the weekend nears. Thursday, we'll have BD and his GF, MotG and daughter/bridesmaid and cousin, maybe FotG (that might be Friday), GW's best friend and goddaughter ... Oh yeah, almost forgot the groom. He gets in late Wednesday night, weather permitting.
A little more cross action (as the M*A*S*H line goes) needed in the weather department. We're stuck in the "intermittant showers and/or thunderstorms" for the last three weeks, which seems to be holding through the weekend. It's screwing up air travel all over the country.
The PODS container arrived this AM. Highly ingenious system. I'm very impressed with the way it's moved around and also by the solidity of the unit itself. "Elegant" engineering is a good description. GW has already said it was a good decision for the move. Now I need a few hundred feet of rope and a good padlock. Storage space will not be a problem. It's huge.
Re: the AAA maps. Cut me some slack, okay? I'm just doing what I can to make myself useful and avoid doing other chores. BD has enough to do on her own. Finding a hotel for the night in some areas may be hard enough, even with the AAA tour books. I-40 looks to cross some fairly desolate and town-forsaken country. But for all I know, FSIL may intend to go out and get a GPS for the trip. They're not very expensive anymore. And he may have it on his phone.
Back to work! Some vacuuming of kitty fur is in order for their wrestling area at the top of the stairs.
