Wedding Blog: BD**2 - 6

#1 Post by gsabc » Mon Aug 04, 2008 11:44 am

Sneaking in another one while I can.

BD and GW are heading to the town clerk's office to get the marriage license. Looks like this thing will actually happen.

Hardware store trip postponed until tomorrow. Need to make sure what size of padlock hasp the PODS container takes.

Need more boxes than we got from the UHaul store. I'll check Staples first, which is nearby.

GW has what I had last week. This is ungood, since she doesn't have the luxury of sleeping for most of the day. I'm not fully over it, either, but at least I'm ambulatory. Illness makes us cranky. BD has told her to chill out a bit, things are under control.

As far as I know, there has only been one yelling match between them over the entire six months. That's a success in my book.

Need a trip to AAA for maps and tourbooks. Have already printed out the directions. Stoopid AAA has separate maps for each 1.0-1.5 miles of the road leading into Ft. Irwin. The same road. For about 20 miles. Ten pages of maps (2 per page) that they could have done without. No idea why the TripTik does that.

Only three checks needed on Sunday. Rabbi, florist and photographer. GW is taking care of the hair salon (credit card) and the brunch/breakfast caterer for their hair salon meal (check, which GW will do). All else is taken care of already. Visa bill is many multiples over our typical monthly charges.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I don't mean to sound critical of your efforts that clearly are intended to be helpful, but if BD and FSIL are old enough to get married, aren't they old enough to get themselves back to California all by themselves?

Annie asks good questions.

Perhaps they have their minds on other things.

That won't last.

I'm just sayin'.

Maybe someone should give them a GPS navigator for a wedding present?

Or--even easier--the URL to Google Maps.
