Morgan Freeman injured in car accident

#1 Post by KillerTomato » Mon Aug 04, 2008 11:40 am

Seen on Google News.

One of my favorite actors, ever since "Glory" and "Shawshank".

Most surprising factoid: he was driving a 97 Nissan Maxima.

And no word on Miss Daisy's condition. (I'm sorry, but that joke needed telling. I do sincerely hope he's OK though.)

There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

I've never seen Glory, but Morgan Freeman put Shawshank into my top tier of all-time favorites.

"Serious condition," according to Reuters. Hope it's not too serious. Hope hope hope.

Reuters also says his car rolled over several times. Best wishes going out to him.

"Glory" is an excellent film. Just don't watch it expecting a happy ending.

He has a broken shoulder and arm.

He should have been driving the Batmobile.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

And if you are ever in D.C. go to the National Gallery and see the Shaw memorial relief sculpture! Most impressive.

Morgan Freeman has been good in almost everything he has done. My personal favorites of his:

Driving Miss Daisy
Shawshank Redemption
Million Dollar Baby
Unforgiven
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight

and

from my childhood, the TV show The Electric Company...

I'll do it. Maybe not until after the election, but I'll defintely do it.

I tried to watch Zorro, the Legend or some such movie of very little brain last night. It started at 10:30, but I lasted through about the first commercial. Yawn! I don't want to fall asleep in the middle of a Morgan Freeman movie.

How can he be injured? Isn't he God?

I hope that it isn't too serious. He is one of my favorite actors.

Probably not. But his VOICE is God's. Get well, soon.
