I have a new great niece! The quilt in my avatar is for her.
Elisa Arin was born 6:25 a.m., July 31, 2008. She weighs 8 pounds, 9 ounces, and is 20 inches long. She has lots of dark hair, chubby cheeks, and is healthy. Grandma says perfect and beautiful!!! But she could be a bit biased.

Dad and Mom are doing well too.

That's a nice looking quilt.

Welcome to the world, Elisa Arin!
But don't her parents know how to spell "Erin"?

I like it! I just had to go with the more obvious spelling because it's a first name. I don't want teachers to hate me in perpetuity...

Believe me, she's on her own with that one. Quite the opposite of her brothers in comportment, but she has a few years to mellow before I unleash her on the educational system...

Elisa's father, my sister's son, was "supposed" to be a girl and was to be named Erin Elizabeth. When she was actually a he, I suggested to my sister that she just change the spelling to Aaron, which she did. Not sure why they didn't go with the Erin spelling, but probably it's an homage to her daddy.

Congrats! Beautiful quilt, too! She's a lucky little girl to receive such a nice gift. My great-aunt made a wonderful quilt for my new babe as well, so I know what I'm talking about.

Such a sweetie!

If you upload the pictures to a site like Photobucket, you can use the image tags like this:
