So, my thread on non-competitive game shows reminded be of this movie that I haven't seen in over 30 years: "Champagne for Caeser" with Ronald Coleman and Vincent Price. Ronald Coleman is the super knowledgable person who enters a game show where the bet doubles on each question and he never misses. It was really good (as I remember it) and it should be (IMHO) the official movie of the bored.
Does anyone else remember this gem. It looks like amazon carries it - so I may just have to order it to see if it still holds up.

Happy Hogan: You have five seconds to tell us the Japanese word for goodbye. 1... 2...
Beauregard Bottomley: Siyonara. Not to be confused with cyanide, which is, of course, goodbye in any language.
Champagne for Caesar - anyone?

Wasn't that a Twilight Zone episode as well? Or maybe I'm getting it confused with the Hitchcock story with John Huston and the lighter (was Steve McQueen the Zippo guy)?frogman042 wrote:So, my thread on non-competitive game shows reminded be of this movie that I haven't seen in over 30 years: "Champagne for Caeser" with Ronald Coleman and Vincent Price. Back in the day when we weren't inundated with channels and tons of films of lesser quality being shown over and over again......I remember l watching this gem of a film on The Late Late Show. Haven't seen it in years, but my best memory of it is "Dirty Water" & Einstein's Theory of Relativity, but I could be mistaken.
BTW frogman congrats!
