I wore the seersuckersuit to work today
I don't wear it very often,
So there I was at the mailbox in the seersucker suit jumping up and down when I read my happy postcard. I'm in the Halloween pool!

Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Do you have a goodly supply of blue face paint? Is your makeup artist available on short notice?

Re: I wore the seersuckersuit to work today
You know I've had just a crappy day today. Not crappy as in I have a crappy job, just crappy in that I've had to work a lot harder than I normally prefer. But dang, that news just made it a great day!themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:I don't wear it very often,

Hey, Elvira graduated in the same class as a friend of mine and I know her parents. She's smart!themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:what the hell, pop culture is a weakness of mineTheConfessor wrote:Now for the bad news -- your "expert" may be Elvira, Mistress of the Dark!
Also, congratulations. The best (or worst) part of this is that you don't have to hang on tenterhooks for very long.
Spoiler
I'm darned good and ready.

You know - you could just keep wearing The Suit to help bring the Call to fruition. So there I was at the mailbox in the seersucker suit jumping up and down when I read my happy postcard. I'm in the Halloween pool!
On second thought, maybe you should just leave it to us to produce the Good Vibes. It might keep your, uhh, aura from becoming too overwhelming...

Good luck - hope they call soon (but not TOO soon)!

Congrats Seersucker! May you get the call and may the new rules not haunt you.
In my pool days, my luck charm was a Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt. Happened to have one on today. Did not wear @ first taping (llama). Wore underneath my outfit for my llamarama taping.
