It must have been small. I didn't feel it at all.

I'm glad you're OK. Where is Jasper?

Poor Jasper had just come from under the bed, where he has been hiding all day, and he got freaked out and ran back underneath it.

Lily, on the other hand, started hissing, while Lucy tensed and froze in one position.

Maybe Jasper is the sensible cat.

I can only imagine how noisy and scary the house was yesterday. All of the girls' friends said that there was a boom when the quake began. The shattering glass and toppling books in my room must have been very loud.

Kitties love their predictable houses more than they love us - when the environment changes on them like that, they freak out. Nothing to do but wait. Bless their hearts.

Well, this just proves for certain my hypothesis that I was a cat in a previous life I have the same reaction.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

So, why are you importing aftershocks? Doesn't California produce enough of its own? Is this like Iowa importing corn?

As a nation, we are becoming dreadfully reliant on imported aftershocks. When I am elected dicta...er, preseedent, I will turn our country toward alternative ground shaking forms.

I think that seeing the bottle of After Shock is what freaked out the cats.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.
