Congratulations, Million$Password contestant Chad!

#1 Post by MarleysGh0st » Wed Jul 30, 2008 2:43 pm

Big news shouldn't be buried deep inside a thread, so I'm taking this quote out of the Million$Password casting in Atlanta 7/25 and 7/26 thread and into its own.

Congratulations, Chad!!! :D

So when's the taping date? Did you say it was going to be this weekend?

Too bad I live in Alabama. I got an email a few days ago for tickets to the taping of MDP and I think it said August 2 and 3rd.

Thank you so much!

Jeremy from FremantleMedia (owners of Million Dollar Password) called me at home at 4:16pm today to let me know I've been chosen to fly to L.A. to participate in a taping of the program! The show tapes August 2, 3 and 4. So, on the phone we went over personal details, eligibility requirements and stuff. He emailed me the rules and a eligibility form I've got to fax back and he'll book my travel after I send the fax. Ahhhhh, I'm so excited right now!

Thank you all for your support - I'll be sure to keep you updated as we continue on this journey!

Glad they got back to you. Nothing good ever comes from leaving hanging Chads.

Good luck!

Congratulations!! BTW, do you happen to know if your Jeopardy! episode is among the Kids Week episodes airing on GSN this week?

No call for me (yet). I wouldn't be surprised if they securing the arrangements for out-of-towners first.

It is not. =( Jeopardy!, before this week aired the 18th season. They're now airing the 20th season. I was on the 19th season. Gah!

Congrats!
And sounds like they are paying for your flight?
Even better!

One thing I noticed --- if you were 12 years old in that 2003 screen shot, I am assuming you have recently turned 18! Perfect timing!

Congratulations and good luck!

For the moment, I'm going to keep you on the Audition List. In my experience, usually more contestants are chosen than can possibly get on the show in the time allotted. (That's to account for last-minute mishaps or discoveries of ineligibility.) Thus, there remains a slight chance, I assume, that you won't actually get to tape, in which case (I further assume) you would still go to the Millionaire audition.

But here's hoping that after the weekend, I get to remove you from the List! --Bob

Jeremy called me as well around 4:15 PM PDT!

Looks like I'm in! We discussed my appearance on Crosswords in 11/07 (with a rerun in 2/08), and he doesn't think it will kill my eligibility. He said he would get back to me.

Perhaps on tape day (to be determined) I should tell them that I "know" Chad so I won't have to play against him. :)
