I bought him one of these. Fisher Price Rainforest high chair. Has all kinds of stuff for him to play with. He loves it!
Why didn't they have these things when my kids were little??

Congrats! It is probably the most fun for the grandparents on these occasions - depending on how easy of a time Chapman had, it may or may not have been fun for the parents or Chapman - some of our kids toothed quite easily - others had a rougher time. Teething babies tend to drool --- a lot! In Switzerland the custom was to tie brightly colored kerchif's around the neck with the big 'V' portion below the chin - this would catch the drool and could be easily swapped out for a replacement kerchif without having their clothes all wet and sticky and needed to be changed (unless the opposite end acted up as well).

Chapman is the droolingest (is that a word?) kid you've ever seen! We keep a bib on him and change it several times a day.
It might be a bit better today as his shirt actually is not wet at the moment, a rare occasion.

Olivia had the Rainforest bouncy seat. She loved it. She would sit in that thing for hours. She even napped in it.
Congrats on the teeth. Olivia got two on the bottom first and then proceeded to get FOUR on the top at one time. I have every teething ring they sell at Target and a tube of Baby Orajel in the her room, the girls bathroom, my car and the diaper bag.

I had a stick and a rock, but the neighbor's dog took the stick. I swallowed the rock so he wouldn't get that, too.

Have you heard of Hyland's teething tablets? I haven't had occasion to use them yet, but have heard that they're fantastic.
