Sick at home edition
Scratchy throat yesterday morning developed by evening to a sore one. No fever, so probably viral, but there was no way I was going to work thie morning. Nor is there much I can post. Chlorpheniramine (to treat the likely cause of post-nasal drip; I've had this before) leaves me spacey.
Rabbi sent the procession order and ceremony either last night or this morning. I'll concentrate on it later.
GW paid the DJ the final amount this AM.
Venue is sending the final bill, based on a count of 96. GW and BD went over and over the count last night, and kept coming up with different numbers. 96 seemed to be the consensus.
Tables are named for Newport mansions. BD and FSIL get Ochre Court, the admin building at her school. The family elders (my mom, her sisters and the one remaining BIL, etc.) get the Breakers. GW and I are at Indian Spring, which is a mansion that has been for sale since BD started school. Right on the ocean, good piece of land, a mere $11.5 million. No idea why it doesn't sell, since others in the same price range have come and gone, but GW has wanted it for a long time.
Gotta go and rest up some more. The last thing I need is to be sick next week. Toast and interesting parts of the ceremony will be put up in the next few days.
