Seating plan is completed. Twelve guest tables and the sweetheart table for the bride and groom. Includes a kid's table, literally; the oldest seated there is 10. The only glitch was a cousin and her husband seated with the non-family members who are invited, parents of Mikaela's friends (and bridesmaids) whom we got to know through high school and college. Can't really see a fix, though, unless we seat them with the kids. Given that the meal is a station setup and not table service, it shouldn't be a big deal.
Finally got hold of the rabbi. Ceremony will be sent by midweek, to be forwarded to the ASL interpreter. Asked him what to use for the breaking of the glass. Immediate response: "No lightbulbs! Period!" I laughed and agreed, as does BD. My own Net search showed that Jewish stores sell special colored glasses inside silk pouches. Some people take the shards and put them into some sort of keepsake. Interesting concept.
Meant to talk with BD about cameras on the table. She wants them, and I'm not so sure. Might be easier, and definitely cheaper, to tell people to bring their own cameras and send us their good photos. I just don't want to be discourteous to the official photographers, or to have people getting in their way. It's a sure thing that their photos will be the best. I want to keep it that way.
