Good luck revisited to frogman today!

Besides having the weekend to think about what he saw (or didn't see, if reports about the green room being cut off from watching the action in the Hot Seat are true), frogman won't have to arrive at the studio at the crack of dawn like Monday's new group of contestants, so he should be starting with something more like a full night's sleep!

Take'em for a bundle, Jay! :)

In a way I could see that being good. It was totally stressful to see that. (Although once brought downstairs unless they created an isolation chamber, you'd hear what was going on)

On the other hand, the green room has got to be exceptionally boring without that. 5 hours of taping and you're just sitting there staring at each other?? Ewww.

Good luck frogman!!! :)

SyndieBAM contestants always mention what a great sense of camaraderie they have with each other, because, by the time they get to the green room, they're no longer in any competition with each other. (There may have been some of that feeling in primetime, but every minute that one contestant sat in the Hot Seat decreased the chances that the others would get out of the ROF.)

We're still in the dark about what these new twists are in the rules, but unless there's some new element of competion between them--trying to beat each other's score to win a jackpot or something--why deprive them of seeing exactly what the studio audience sees?

Will TPTB be springing some bizarre, surprise challenge on contestants, which would lose their surprise value if they saw others deal with them?

I didn't find watching the others in the HS stressful; I found waiting "on deck" for hours stressful. At least they're not doing the three people "on deck" and then picking one "randomly" thing anymore.

Or maybe they want to stop sharing of information as much as possible. When we were in the green room, questions for other contestants would trigger us to talk about related topics. There was one that ended up helping someone, I don't remember what it was exactly, but it was some Disney channel related item. One contestant got a question on one show (let's pretend it's Hannah Montana)...then we sat around throwing out all other Disney shows, characters, etc. that we could think of. A couple shows later another contestant got a question on a show (let's say it was the Cheetah Girls) that we had discussed. So maybe they want to eliminate that, so that they can ask very similar questions from show to show?

I don't know, I guess we're all speculating at this point. But the thing I like is now you don't have to watch other people crash and burn, that can really rattle you watching that in the green room. Or if people do really well, even though you're happy for them, if you don't know their questions you can start to lose confidence.

Hopefully frogman can fill us in on what went down in the green room, I would think that's not protected information!

Same here. They just pulled me out of the green room and said I was next.

Well that's cool because it was kind of ridiculous. We all knew they had the order picked!! (Especially since my boyfriend later told me that the contestants' companions in the audience were seated in a certain order that happened to correspond to the order of their appearance....)

They did it when I taped in October.

They called me out of the green room first that day then had me move around backstage for three hours before we broke for lunch at 2 PM. After lunch they told me I was up next, but took over half an hour before I actually walked out. All that definitely hurt my stage presence.

I stayed in the green room the whole first day. But there were people who went down at 1, came back up for lunch, went back down, and then got carried over to the next tape date. At least I was comfy in the green room the whole day. But then I was down there in the first group the next time, and I was back up for lunch before finally going on right after that in episode 4 of the day. The green room is more comfortable and you have a little more freedom to move around, talk, etc.

I think your seat belt is a little too tight. So is that colander on your head.
