Through the kind cooperation of the Pittsburgh "Pirates" we have used the team and its ball park to tell our story --

But we do not depict any real characters or actual events.

This could be any baseball team, in any league, in any town in America.

It's the original "Angels in the Outfield". I liked the remake very much, with Christopher Lloyd and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I had not realized in the original, the orphan fan is a girl.

I like the notion that angels are at all the parks.

I like the remake slightly better:

not so much press silliness

we can see the angels

any movie with Brenda Fricker in it is better than a movie without her

...but this one has its different merits, and was worth the hour and a half.
