It's the original "Angels in the Outfield". I liked the remake very much, with Christopher Lloyd and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I had not realized in the original, the orphan fan is a girl.

I like the notion that angels are at all the parks.

I like the remake slightly better:

not so much press silliness

we can see the angels

any movie with Brenda Fricker in it is better than a movie without her




...but this one has its different merits, and was worth the hour and a half.
