Two weekends to go.

Cleaning today. Steaming the carpet, washing the dog's things in preparation to donate them to the local shelter, generally decluttering amidst the sadness.

Ketubah should be on its way and arrive next week. Don't know if this guy just doesn't have much business or what, since he charged us extra for the rush. I was expecting it more like in two weeks, not a few days.

BD is off with a good friend, girl (well, woman now) whom she's known since age 3. Family had some financial difficulties, moved a couple of towns over, parents got divorced, generally a troubled life. She has now gotten her own life together, and is either studying to be or already is a nurse. BD has been in touch with her off and on over the years, and we're glad to see them together again.

"Final" headcount is 94. There is a "kid's" table, mostly children of cousins but a couple of others in there. Bill won't go onto the credit card until next Tuesday. I suspect that the venue is having issues of their own, with the nasty economy. We are probably the only affair for the entire weekend.

Won't you ever be allowed to have another dog?

I'm glad to hear that everything else seems to be going well.

Probably not for a while. First the wedding, then the recovery from the wedding. We're talking some old blankets and such, and also leftover food and treats. Our two dogs (over the course of our marriage) have each had their own blankets, leashes, beds, etc. After all, they deserve the best, not hand-me-downs!

We're also not home during the day. Before, either someone was home all day or else the kids had their school schedules so that someone got home by mid-afternoon. Now there will be just the two of us, leaving the house by 7:15 and not getting back till 5:00. Long time to leave a puppy alone. We'll have to work out the logistics, when we're ready for a new four-footed friend.
