I saw only the last two minutes. Elvis, the bratty Jack Russell terrier, and his -- let's be kind here, "enabling" -- owner were sent home. Good job, judges.

I forgot the show was on. Last week's show did not raise the telecast into my consciousness. Somebody will win. It probably won't be the dog I would pick. Such is life.

Mom has chosen the skateboarding bulldog as her favorite. I said they pimped him heavily before the show even started, so he'll probably make it pretty far.

Good news on the prissy Elvis human. He pissed me off last week when his dog bit the other one and he was not apologetic.

I like the bulldog, too, but so far I like the boxer best. I held back last week about Elvis and his human, as they both were aggressive and badly behaved. If I were on a show like this and some other dog bit my dog in the face, I would scream bloody murder to the producers -- but only after I actually committed bloody murder on the owner. I held back again this week, when I didn't use that lovely phrase, "bodily orifice," to describe him.

Not that I have any strong opinions about that sort of thing.

I also like the boxer, the bulldog, the pointer type, the maltese and the mutt, Star.

the ones that really annoy me, are the dog dresserupper and the owner of the miniature schnauzer.

It was in the coffee shop, a poster with a picture of a dog who needs a new home. The text said:

He made no promises about squirrels, who I bet smell even worse than cats.

Miss Ritter, some cats do smell kind of funny, but I know how to make that better. I hold them down and give them tongue baths. Once they're cleaned up a little, most cats can be quite presentable.

I don't mean to insult cats, though. If they smell, it's not their fault. They eat weird stuff, except for that dry food, which is quite deliciious.

I've never given a squirrel a bath. I don't think my tongue is tough enough for that. I try to stay upwind.
