This is cracking me up. The suburban self-described soccer mom is leading the Bored in posts that my school system's autocensor won't let me see.

Not that I'm trying to start a contest, or anything....

Your school system's autocensor is silly.

Hmmm . . .

Have you ever noticed how close the name Alpha Dummy is to Albus Dumbledore?

He looks like Hulk Hogan.

Alpha Dummy, I mean.

Happy birthday, you fried cheese curd lover, you!

From the cheesesteak eaters in Philly.

That's FRIED cheese curd.

AD knows that what I meant. I know AD knows that. AD knows I know he knows that. I know AD knows......

BTW AD, if you're using AOL, get on Internet Explorer so we can hear you.

I know you're out there somewhere.

Whoa....thanks, everybody!! :o Greetings and salivations to all...

I was able to sneak a peek at work earlier; seeing all of your posts really helped to pull me through. Things have been beyond description at the shop recently; I am back on six days a week/10 hours a day...and they have me going in a few hours tomorrow as well, just for bad measure. And these have not been easy hours, either. So, at the end of the day (God help me, I hate cliches...but "end of the day" is literal here) I am pretty much out of gas.

Really, though, I cannot complain; I remember all too well what it was like at the other end of the spectrum and I do have to count my blessings. At this point, however, lurking is pretty much all I can muster; one day soon the Muses will be back, though, to deliver the seeds of a Top Ten list or a song parody...it always happens, and usually when least expected. In the meantime I will be cheering - or jeering, as needed - from the sidelines and thanking all of you for helping to pull me through the current madness.

In the meantime, I hoist a cold Point to my friends here in deep appreciation of all that has happened with all of you thus far - and for what is yet to come...

- AD (still crazy after all these years)

Sheesh. I hope you're being paid for all this overtime and not expected to do it for nothing because you're on salary.
