Cloverfield
Realizing I'm not exactly cutting edge on movie reviews, I watched Cloverfield last night with Jeff.
I liked it. He didn't. Had heard mixed reviews previously and was pleasantly surprised.
It was sad. It didn't make me dizzy. I liked the fact that they eventually show the monster and his ugly cohorts. I didn't like the total ridiculousness of the lead guy's quest as he and his friends tromped through the city. And then climbed up the building and all...But it was sweet. And, it was a monster movie after all.
I would like to learn how to live after being impaled on rebar.
Bad bad baby monster. Someone needed to put him in timeout.

I watched this with my son last weekend. It was a good father/son movie.
We both liked it. I might not have had I watched it by myself.

..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Thanks for the heads up.
I'm gonna have to pass on this one. The Blair Witch Project scared me away from documentaries that aren't really.

The Blair Witch Project creeped me out totally. This one didn't, maybe because it's obvious that the camera-wielding was a tool that is part of the movie. It's just a plain old monster movie. Blair Witch was just ooky.SportsFan68 wrote:Thanks for the heads up.

OK, that's better. If the opportunity comes around, I'll probably look in.Beebs52 wrote:The Blair Witch Project creeped me out totally.
