One last tree update

We first noticed the broken tree two weeks ago. About 10 days ago, after getting the estimates, we contacted the people who installed our new vinyl fence about how to take two sections out. They said they'd send someone out to look at it so they could advise us properly. The issue became moot when we got truck access to the neighbor's yard, and the tree was removed last Friday.
Today (the next Thursday), I got a "restricted call" on my cellphone. It was the fence guy, who was at the house. Now. I told him the problem was fixed and thanked him for his time, all the while thinking that I had explained the potential fence breakage to the original guy, so why didn't he think that the problem might have been a bit more urgent and sent someone over sooner? Not real swift. Maybe they need the business and were hoping that the fence WOULD get broken.
