I haven't figured out WHY they sell squirrel feeders when all the squirrels do a fabulous job of emptying the bird feeders!

We have those weight-activated bird perch feeders, where it closes up if something too heavy is on the perch, like a squirrel. There's nothing to hang onto from above, so that trick doesn't work. Those are effective against the beasts. If you're having a problem with squashed squirrels in your neighborhood, I'd be awfully suspicious you have an Angry Village Mob, or a bunch of bad drivers....
