I haven't figured out WHY they sell squirrel feeders when all the squirrels do a fabulous job of emptying the bird feeders!

Only feeders safe around here are my hummingbird feeders.

We have those weight-activated bird perch feeders, where it closes up if something too heavy is on the perch, like a squirrel. There's nothing to hang onto from above, so that trick doesn't work. Those are effective against the beasts. Only the newbies in our yard bother making the attempt anymore.

We have a home-made, BIL-made actually, squirrel feeder that we use for our flying squirrels. Whatever is left over by daytime goes to the regular ones.

When a squashed squirrel appears in the street near our house, we figure it was either too fat and slow from eating our seed, or else first died of a heart attack and was run over later.

We will figure out those weight controlled feeders before long. They can't outsmart us!

If you're having a problem with squashed squirrels in your neighborhood, I'd be awfully suspicious you have an Angry Village Mob, or a bunch of bad drivers....

And this'll be #1,346, right?

They're probably angry about being sold at Wal-Mart instead of some specialty store for three times the price, where those extra royalties could allow them to retire in style instead of constantly having to burn down the castle to stay warm.

I like the lady in the middle with the rolling pin.

That poor guy in front doesn't have anything to carry. He's just shaking his fist.

This absolutely cracked me up.

You mean the implements of mob destruction are not interchangeable or transferable?

I would particularly fear the guy with the rake. Somewhere there's a bunch of leaves in BIIIIG trouble.

There's a place in the world for the angry young man
With his working class ties and his radical plans
He refuses to bend he refuses to crawl
And he's always at home with his back to the wall
And he's proud of his scars and the battles he's lost
And struggles and bleeds as he hangs on his cross
And likes to be known as the angry young man

Give a moment or two to the angry young man
With his foot in his mouth and his heart in his hand
He's been stabbed in the back he's been misunderstood
It's a comfort to know his intentions are good
And he sits in his room with a lock on the door
With his maps and his medals laid out on the floor
And he likes to be known as the angry young man

I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight
I once believed in causes too
I had my pointless point of view
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right

And there's always a place for the angry young man
With his fist in the air and his head in the sand
And he's never been able to learn from mistakes
So he can't understand why his heart always breaks
And his honor is pure and his courage is well
And he's fair and he's true and he's boring as hell
And he'll go to the grave as an angry old man

Yes there's always a place for the angry young man
With his working class ties and his radical plans
He refuses to bend he refuses to crawl
And he's always at home with his back to the wall
And he's proud of his scars and the battles he's lost
And struggles and bleeds as he hangs on his cross
And likes to be known as the angry young man

If the mob makes it to Oklahoma the snakes will be in trouble.
