4. swimming, shooting, running, and um, fencing and horseback riding. (I would say dressage, but that's another one of those fancy words where I know it has something to do with horses, but not really what it means. If you need something more specific than horseback riding, I'm SOL).

Doubt it is one of the stranger names and of the other 4 only Philip doesn't seem vaguely familiar. Philip?

Supposedly based on skills of a soldier.
Fencing, shooting (pistol I think), horse riding, swimming and cross country running.

Pahoehoe is the prettiest kind of lava. It's made of basalt.

It's all old-fashioned soldier stuff -- fencing, shooting, swimming, running, and horse-jumping.

The Roman Catholic Church claims Peter as its first Pope, but Peter himself probably never considered himself such, especially in the sense we think of. Well, it ain't Paul, Peter or Pius, for sure. I'm thinking Pascal sounds papal. That leaves Pelagius and Philip.
Pelagius doesn't sound papal (which means it's probably right!), so I'll go with it.

I have absolutely no idea. I'll guess
