Well, that was a surprise

#1 Post by ChickGandl » Tue Jul 22, 2008 7:12 am

I looked at the membership list and it appears that we have about 20 Merry Men who have never posted on the bored.

Why would somebody make one if they didn't have a post in mind for it? Except maybe to claim it so some ignorant slut didn't steal it. Ha!

I have one with no posts. When the chat room changed my name to Here_613 I made that user name to see if it would change that to a different name. But when I went in again, it changed to Here_different number, so I never experimented.

Btw, Chick Gandil is my favourite Black Sock.
Spoiler
I'm darned good and ready.

I have a few who never made it to the parade like Chicky here, but I was surprised at how many others there were.

My friends Angry Village Mob and Saturdays Blonde are failed registration attempts.

I coined The_first_mm, but I didn't use my customary password, so that one may be gone to the writer's dungeon, never to breathe fresh air again.

May as well give some recognition to formerly famous MM's who never see the light of day anymore.

This is only appropriate for late night infomercials.

OK, Inspired by this thread, I have gone back and accounted for all of my Merry Men.....

As of this moment, how many Merry Men do I have registered on this Bored?

How many total posts have I made under those Merry Men?

The shocking answers to come later this morning......

Had I the time (and if there was anything in it for me), I'd actually go through the member list and try to figure this out.

Are we just gettinig the numbers or all the names as well? That would sort of put a crimp in the mystique, wouldn't it?

Just the numbers, though anyone who pays a little attention to this Bored or who's been around a while would probably know about half of them....

LB's Merry Men by post count:

101+ posts - 1
51-100 posts - 1
41-50 posts - 2
31-40 posts - 3
21-30 posts - 5
11-20 posts - 31
6-10 posts - 24
2-5 posts - 31
1 post - 4
0 posts - 1

Total number of Merry Men........... 103!!!

With 607 registered names on this Bored thus far, this means I have OVER 1/6 of all accounts currently in the member list!!!! (If you count lb13, I have 104 names on this Bored, for 17.1% of all registered handles!) Of those 103 Merry Men, 63 of them are MM's I had on Go (Out of, I believe, 178 I had over there in 7 years)....

Total number of posts I've made under Merry Men........ 1,345!!!

My Merry Men alone would rank 15th on the Bored among all posters, and if they were all added to my total, I would rank 4th on this Bored in total posts.....

I can only imagine how many MM posts I made all those years on Go.....

Sheesh, beast, how do you ever keep track of all 100+ of those MM passwords?

I'm lucky that I have only one MM handle. For now.

That's easy. Use a universal password for all MM's.

The password I use for my MM's is the original password I used for my main Go handle before the TR/Santini hijacking scared me into changing my littlebeast13 password to something a bit tougher.....
