I got the answer.

We have a guy - he is not my guy, I got him with the marriage.

He does our personal and business taxes.

He didn't hit send.

No freakin' kidding.

The good news is, we were due a refund, so there is no penalty.

I want to fire the guy.

We should have the check soonish.

Good thing your hubby doesn't work for the I.R.S., otherwise you'd likely have one fewer paycheck in the house. Per the IRS reform enacted exactly 10 years ago tomorrow, failing to file on time, even with a refund return, means being fired. This unless you show reasonable cause and due diligence, or unusual circumstances. The IRS commissioner must grant any pardons based on the latter.

Almost needless to say, I got an efile return acknowedgment from the IRS in March.

For late filed returns (or extensions) filed by October 15, stimulus checks are being processed separately two weeks after your regular refund.

I hope that it wasn't a large refund. Perhaps your guy could pay the interest that you might have earned, if he had pressed the button.

Sting was so afraid to tell me. Replaying the scene in my head is funny now.

They are both lucky it's not a boatload of money we are talking about.

I will spend the next few months convincing Sting to change accountants.

That's an Andy Richter episode!

I can't even remember the name of the show, but he was a private eye who was doing his dad's (or FIL's) taxes and he had to get them done before midnight but bad guys and their various nefarious doing were preventing him from hitting send. As I recall, his family thought he was a CPA.

I think that might have been the only episode I even saw.

His dad was played by one of those H!ITGs who make a career out of playing irascible old grumps. Now it's going to make me nuts until I remember who it was, I can see his face and hear his voice.

No wonder it was the only episode I saw, there were only 6 in all.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0897448/

And the guy I was thinking of wasn't that guy who played his FIL, so that's going to bug me forever.

But, the guy who did play him was The Big Lebowski!

I predict success.

He just needs a door to walk through. I'm sure there'll be one.

Gotham City could really use some help. So could Bale.

Somehow, I don't think either Gotham or Bale would be helped by a guy who can bill himself as "The Blusher."

I do not remember who took it, but it was on my camera. It was from Takinover's taping day 09/07/2004.

Well, since the four of us had dinner that night after the taping, and I'm not in the photo, I must have been the photographer! :)
