Haven't gotten it yet.
Should I start thinking it got lost?

Got no letter.Beebs52 wrote:We just got ours last week. Apparently they had sent a letter prior to sending the check (Jeff saw it). Did you get a letter?
this made me blush.nitrah55 wrote:<groucho>
I'd be perfectly happy to check your stimulus.

I can't believe anything makes you blush.peacock2121 wrote:this made me blush.nitrah55 wrote:<groucho>

Thanks! See ShinyCar's b-day thread for more.jaybee wrote:Usually it's based on the last two digits of your SSN. Mine, at 77, went out last week. The 80's go out this week and the 90's next week. Mostly. Sorta. As well as any government agency can count.
And OT: Snaxx - That's a mighty fine avatar you have there!
My SSN ends in 71. Our check was scheduled to be printed on 7-4. We received it on 7-6. $2,400 was pretty stimulating.jacorbett70 wrote:IRS.GOV "Where's my stimulus payment" has resources for checking the status of your payment:

If you filed an extension this year, do not bother though, as your stimulus payment will be processed appx 6-8 weeks after you file your return.

Yes, people who had filled out their tax returns to request their refunds by electronic transfer got their stimulus payments first, also electronically. They they started writing real checks to the rest of us.Here's Fanny! wrote:Were there two waves on this?
Thanks. I happened to think afterward that maybe the May thing was just EFT people. Of course, they had to send like three letters about it, so there went their "paperless" savings right there. I shudder to think of (the other) ghost's response to this, but why does anyone prefer hard checks for anything now days?
Maybe I was just pre-conditioned for the online payment type stuff since Judicial started requiring people to get paid by direct deposit back in 1988 and I have a family full of bankers so I'm not as goofy about 'real' money as some.
Ha, the funny part of this is that I started out the above paragraph with 'I'm just as much of a Luddite as anyone, but,". Then I decided that maybe I really wasn't a Luddite anymore, so I erased it.littlebeast13 wrote:Here's Fanny! wrote: Maybe I was just pre-conditioned for the online payment type stuff since Judicial started requiring people to get paid by direct deposit back in 1988 and I have a family full of bankers so I'm not as goofy about 'real' money as some.
Hurray for paper checks!

In my case, since I don't check my balance online, I wouldn't know when the refund check was deposited until my monthly bank statement arrived, anyway, so I figured I might as well get the paper check so I knew when I took it to the bank. But I also haven't used my check for any economic stimulus, so far. Here's Fanny! wrote: I shudder to think of (the other) ghost's response to this, but why does anyone prefer hard checks for anything now days?

I'm sure getting hits is routine for you, beast, but it's a rare event for me.

I was 5 hits shy of 6,000 as of yesterday afternoon. I'll soon find out if I got any closer since then....
