I'll start a new thread, so we won't take Bob's audition thread too far astray. We're glad you found us, and we hope you'll stick around. I live a few hours north of you on I-35, and a few other BBs live within your metropolitan area.

Good luck on getting that call quickly (because otherwise you'll jump 6 feet in the air every time the phone rings, and that's hard on the leg muscles.) In the meantime, start lining up your PAFs (phone-a-friends.) If you know specific areas that frighten you more than others (i.e., pop culture, sports, or whatever, look first for people who are strong there, as well as in general knowledge. Or, holler, and you'll find folks here who will volunteer.

Also, if you have any questions about the show or this board, don't hesitate to ask. We like to blather.

:D

I'm impressed that you flew in from Texas. At my audition, I was amazed at how many people had come quite long distances. For me I thought it was a big deal just to schlep across the Lincoln Tunnel.

But I'm curious. Do you treat the trip as a vacation, a chance to see New York, or is it a business undertaking, with study sessions in the hotel?

Obviously, I can't speak for Texas Mommy, but I flew in to NYC to audition a few years back. I considered it a wonderful chance to see friends, but I classified the expense as an investment in myself. (I got a good return on the investment.)

I add my welcome to the chorus, noting that we've had several people join us lately that have "mom" in their handles.

It isn't my fault!
