Don't know much about history

#1 Post by Kazoo65 » Tue Jul 15, 2008 7:27 pm

I was downtown yesterday, sitting outside enjoying the nice summer weather and reading my new library book, David McCullough's bio of John Adams (it's really THICK-over 800 pages long!) when this guy comes walking down the street and says "what's that book about?" "John Adams" I said. "Who's he, a Republican???" was the response I got. I almost dropped the book and fell out of the chair-I was stunned. I guess there are people that need to study American history.

Unfortunately, we wind up seeing lots of them on game shows.
I'm just a game show nerd.
