Presidential Challenge Thingy

I just completed the Gold Award.
Gee, they really make the next goal something that can occur soon, don't they? Gold took 160,000 points. Platinum takes 1,000,000. It took me 3.5 years to get the Gold. At that rate, I'll get the Platinum in another 17.5 years. Right about the same time I am ready to retire from my job.
Even if I get 10,000 points/month (which has been my recent pace), it'll take 7 years.

Me either. I think I'll start again on Monday.
I need some kind of incentive.

I have been creaking and straining to reach 180,000 points to see that damn thing roll over from 17% to 18% of the way to a platinum.

I guess we're supposed to be up to working on lifetime habits or something, by the time we've finished Gold.
It's not like you go and buy the t-shirts that you're "awarded," is it?

I post my work only about every 7-10 days just so I can see some progress on that percentage number.
I must be in another category from you guys. My gold and platinum goals are half the points as yours. It's still gonna take me at least another 3-4 years to hit the platinum.

And my bad for being away.
The PCLT got really sketchy working for me in March. They were advertising a new program on it and I think it got some new users that slowed stuff down.
And I've not been visiting as much as I like because I've been spending my few computer hours writing sports stuff, and trying to stay off the computer so that my leg thing doesn't act up. (It is getting better with minimizing computer time, exercising and stretching).
And my dog ate my homework.
But....whether I am posting much or not....
Everybody keep on keeping on. There are no guarantees in life how you live your days on this planet, but living your life in a moderate and healthy manner gives you the best chance of having good years left. It kills me when I see people be fatalistic with their health.

I see apathy in those around me who are not moving - I don't think I have heard or seen fatalistic stuff.
I just hear "I know, I know" and then watch them sit on their ass.
