WWTBAM Bored

I've sent a few private messages succesfully. I know this because I got responses, and all of them are sitting in the 'Sent' box. But I have some messages sitting in the Outbox which I strongly believe have not been sent (I'm assuming that they would have been moved to the sent box) even though when I submitted them I was informed that it was successfully sent. I don't know if they have been sent and if not how to force them to being sent.

Any ideas?

Messages sitting in your Outbox have not been viewed by the recipient as of yet. You will know when they are read, because they will then transfer over into the Sent box.

You may need to prod those you sent PM's to who still sit in your Outbox that they need to check their messages....

Hey, everyone! Look at the top of the screen, under where it says "WWTBAM Bored"! Does it also say "You have [1 or more] new messages"? If so, read'em!





As a bit of Bored history, Frogman, back when the Bored was hosted by Go.com, we also had Go mail that was linked to our Bored handles, but there were some extra steps needed to set that up, so we didn't always know if someone had that or not (or if they checked their Go mail, if they did). A nice feature of this Bored is that everyone who registers a handle here automatically has that Private Mail box set up for them, too, so there's never any doubt if that's available.

Assuming, of course, that people read their Private Messages when they get the notice that there is one!

Thanks. recent messages have now moved on... so this explains what I've been seeing.

I do have one message from June 15th that hasn't been read (I'm talking to you GlowingPotato)... but I think I may have puzzled out the answer to my question by what I've learned on the bored over the past few weeks - including on oppertunity to meet the booted victim himself!

The message I sent was regarding the back story about someones father getting Ed booted from the hot seat. So I think I now have guessed the story that was being alluded to.
