I was trying to find out if my "Crosswords" appearance in 11/07 ruins my eligibility before I consider trying to get out of work early tomorrow.
Thanks John. I used that email and got a reply. Now I just have to find YouTube.jacorbett70 wrote:Another announcement has a slightly different email address.

I went on a lark because it wasn't too far for me. First stop was a conference room where we were given paperwork. I was working on completing it, then we were moved to a second location that had a theatre set up.ulysses5019 wrote:Well, I'm back from MDP. It was long. There was much paperwork. There were four other bbs there. I was paired off with another player and they taped us. I played ok. My understanding was that there was another on-camera interview. I did not get this. I do not expect to be on this show. I will let others, if they wish, tell their stories.
That's CBS Radford.15QuestionsAway wrote:Unlike the first run of the show, the next six episodes will be shot at CBS Bradford, in Studio City, CA near the hotel where the audition was. The show will tape 2 a day from August 2 to August 4.
LOL. Don't shortchange yourself o-man. A multiple-game J! winner and tournament participant is nothing to sneeze at.o-man wrote:This is neither Huey Lewis nor tennis, but I'll nonetheless try to post something coherent.
I live in Studio City so I walked to the Beverly Garland on a lark; I had seen the open casting-call notification on this here board. So thank you, thguy65!
Though I've had my share of gameshow appearances, at times with modest success, I remain something of a dilettante. So when I saw the great Uly, I had no option but to scream about five feet away from him, while thrusting my outstretched hand, "[First name]!" Of course we commiserated about our old wounds on the Chuck Woolery Program. To this day, I remain happy to be thought of as "the poorman's Uly."
Perhaps this is why, on the application question soliciting "your Million Dollar Password motto" I felt inspired to scribble: "Million Dollar Password: Where Lexicon Is King and Mental Telepathy Is Queen (and Uly's the Joker!)" Oops. Only kidding about that parenthetical part!
As Uly mentioned, it was long and drawn out. This prevented me from taking my preferred audition stance, that of hermitic voyeurism. So I struck up a conversation with the great thguy65.
Now that guy, thguy65, he is the rich man's Uly, literally and figuratively! I scoped out his c.v. again on the J! archive. He is undoubtedly Game Show Magic. Both Uly and thguy65 were kind enough to indulge me in explaining the arcana of this here board. Never again will I toss and turn at night over the mysteries of the llamarama. Thanks, boyz!
Anyway, at the end of the long day, I finally met my mock-game partner, and it was none other than thguy65. We conjured up some Million Dollar Password miracles in our few minutes of clues and response. I shouted something inane and insane like, "The Asians are doing it!" Ho-ho. Good times...
Anyway, I should be shocked not to see the great thguy65 on the CBS network come autumn. After all, he is Game Show Magic. I will sit at home and root for him and wonder if one of the words in his stack for the million-dollar round will indeed be "llama."
Thank you.
Achoo! How's that for gratuitous? Is my assimilation complete?ulysses5019 wrote:LOL. Don't shortchange yourself o-man. A multiple-game J! winner and tournament participant is nothing to sneeze at.o-man wrote:This is neither Huey Lewis nor tennis, but I'll nonetheless try to post something coherent.

Now we've got to guess the identity of our mystery BB newbie.
I don't follow events on the J! board as closely as I do here. Any ideas, slam?

Que sera, sera. Next stop: Fremantle! Maybe...thguy65 wrote: o-man:
Good to meet you as well!
I think that provided quite a spark to the game, along with the hand-slapping after a good round!
You got to observe my interview, but I didn't have the privilege of staying for yours. How did it go?
No. No Purdue connections. 19 questions left...silvercamaro wrote:I do not know the identity of o-man, but I wonder if it might be someone who has a fixation about the pudu from Perudu.
I'm going to pretend that's correct until and unless someone disabuses me of the notion.
