A key witness in the Rosenburg spy case in the 1950's, her death on April 7 was revealed in court papers on June 23.

She had been living under an assumed name in the New York area for decades. Her husband, David Greenglass, who also testified against his brother in law and sister, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, is still alive.

Ruth Greenglass either was part of a conspiracy to pass atomic secrets or lied about the participation of Ethel Rosenberg under pressure from federal investigators. Here's the obit:

Can't quite bring myself to put an RIP on this one.

Which brings to mind the Woody Allen line...

"I love him like a brother... David Greenglass"

Also, this thread gives me a chance to plug one of my favorite books of all time, "The Book Of Daniel" by E. L. Doctorow.

An amazing book that presents a fictional account of the Rosenberg's (called the Isaacs) from the children's perspective, both at the time of the trial and from their perspective of coming of age in the '60s.

A truly amazing book.
