It worked for the Met, why not the Mets?

The Metropolitan Opera, here in New York, has been broadcasting some of its live performances to movie theatres around the country. Live, HD, good sound- and it's been a sucess.
August 29, the New York Mets/Philadelphia Phillie game will be shown on the screen of the Ziegfeld Theatre in mid-town Manhattan. $10. 1,100 seats. During the game, trivia games, commentary by local sports guys, and (my fave) t-shirt launches. Oh, and everyone in attendance gets two tickets to a September game.
As I compare these, I wonder if the Met Opera could garner some new fans by having t-shirt launches at Avery Fisher Hall. During intermissions, of course.

Does this mean I'll get on imdb? I better ask for a raise while I'm still playing well...

I don't know. If they palyed the 1812 Oveture, they could shoot the t-shirts during every "cannon" shot.

Heck--they could shoot the PLAYERS sometimes, and no one would object...

Is your hubby a Mets fan also? Or is this just your affliction?

My husband was born in Flushing and raised on Long Island. It was fate we met. Or the fact that the Triple A club was in my neck of the woods...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that event at the Ziegfeld was last year - this year they play Florida on Aug. 29th and I haven't heard anything about another outing at that theater.
