How to I get a photo that is in "word" to be an avatar? I have only been working on that for an hour or so.

Or, how can I get that photo from "word" into a post?

I try copy/paste but the paste does not work.

I am ready for embarrassment.

I think that you can right click the photo and save the file as a .jpg. If that doesn't work, copy it to Powerpoint and save it as a .jpg.

Then go to the avatar making program http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/ and create an avatar using the picture.

It's in Word *.doc format? You'll have to extract the photo from the rest the document, first, and save it in one of the image formats like *.jpg or *.bmp. Then you can click on the "Profile" link at the top of this page and look down to the "Avatar control panel" and click on the "Upload avatar from your machine" link, pointing to that image.

You can't upload photos directly into a post, so you'd have to same the image to another site on the web, like Photobucket. Then you can use the "Img" link to embed the link to that photo. Photobucket even has a button to give you that link with the Image tags already added.

I'm just ready to see this photo!

Thanks all that tried to help me. I finally called our IT guy and he got it done in about 2 minutes.
