I really won't have anything to report until tonight, but probably won't have time to do so. There are at least two tasks after I get home which will take an hour or more each. One is to order (finally!) the engagement photos we want. BD reportedly decided which one(s) she wants over the weekend, in a consensus with her GF's.
RSVP's should arrive in a flurry today and probably for the rest of the week, as people suddenly remember that they're due. It was supposed to ARRIVE today, folks, not be mailed. You'd be lousy sweepstakers. Could be worse. They could all be sent by owl. My cats would love that.
I may also be too depressed to blog, since the other auditioners from around the same time as me are getting their cards. Hey AP's, don't bother sending it, just call to arrange a taping for the end of the month!

Tell them they're disqualfied! That'll teach'em.

Brace yourself.
There may be folks you never hear from. Some may call last minute to ask if they can still come. And there may be people who rsvp and don't show up without letting you know about it.
As my father would say, "this too shall come to pass."

If returned RSVP's were required to attend the wedding, then you could expect a very
small crowd.
People just can't seem to get that reply in the mail, postage paid or not. I try to fill my out and return it as soon as I get it. Otherwise, it gets lost in the shuffle and I'm one of those you never hear from.

Yeah, we know. Like I said, we're pretty certain of those planning to come. A few more won't hurt. And there are families with young kids, who are subject to last minute illnesses.
Among those who won't return their RSVP: my MIL. Who told GW she shouldn't have bothered sending her, or that entire part of our family, an invitation since we knew she couldn't come and they wouldn't. (Had we not sent it, she would have complained about THAT. We love her dearly, but even GW can't take more than a few days with her in one sequence.)
As for the rest of the clan, we've been living at the same address for almost 28 years. Has anyone come out to visit? I can count them on the fingers of one hand, and only one of those actually lives out there. The others were more local, a relative term since they came up from Virginia.

They come bearing gifts. Unless there's a ginormous wooden horse or rabbit involved, they won't be disqualified.
