QoD July 7, 2008

2 points per correct answer, 10 points if you get all four correct. Answer with a Spoiler tag in one post in this thread before noon CDT on Tuesday, July 8.

No outside sources allowed. Just take your best guess.

1. What country is known as Kemet in the local language?

2. Eero Saarinen designed what structure which stands above the Museum of Westward Expansion?

3. What is the common name for the animals of the Order Proboscidea?

4. What “E” sport will award medals in six events at this summer’s Olympics?

You still have a couple of hours to answer the July 3 and 4 questions if you have not done so already.

1. Egypt
2. The St. Louis Arch (or whatever its long-winded official name is)
3. Elephants
4. Equestrian

Immediately after posting, I realized the connection on these, which is why I changed my answer to #3. I'll bet the real name of the Arch begins with E. Or else I've got it wrong completely

St Louis Gateway Arch?

3. What is the common name for the animals of the Order Proboscidea?
Elephants

4. What “E” sport will award medals in six events at this summer’s Olympics?
Equestrian?

A lot of "E"s in this one, either answers or key parts of the question, made me think about the "theme" hint and led me to change my answer on question 1. I was originally going to guess Jordan on this.

Previous days also appear to follow this pattern (So far A, B and C. D appears to have gotten skipped on the 4th unless "Declaration" fits the pattern...)
