An exerpt from an article to appear in this Sunday's New York Times Magazine:

"Limbaugh told me he is no longer concerned about the opinions of his colleagues and rivals, and he makes no effort to disguise his contempt for most of them. Michael Savage, ranked No. 3 among talk-radio hosts by Talkers magazine? 'He’s not even in my rearview mirror.' Garrison Keillor? 'I don’t even know where to find NPR on the dial.'

"At dinner the night before, Bill O’Reilly’s name came up, and Limbaugh expressed his opinion of the Fox cable king. He hadn’t been sure at the time that he wanted it on the record. But on second thought, 'somebody’s got to say it,' he told me. 'The man is Ted Baxter.'"

Even on drugs, El Rushbo knows that Bill Orally is so in love with his own voice that he doesn't know/care what's coming out of his mouth.

Truthfully, Billo reminds me more of Frank Burns from "M*A*S*H".

I was just about to take a sip of Diet Dr Pepper when I got to the last sentence. I am very glad I didn't. I woul dhave needed a new keyboard and monitor.

How dare he impugn the name of the late, great Ted Baxter.

I doubt it. It's hard to imagine any consequence that would render your monitor unusable. The keyboard might be slightly more vulnerable, but since we're talking about a diet soda, it wouldn't leave any sticky residue, and I think most modern keyboards can handle an occasional spray of fine droplets. After all, didn't someone recently post here about dropping a cell phone into a toilet, and didn't that story have a happy ending? That full immersion would be far more traumatic to consumer electronics than a surface application of a partial mouthful of Diet Dr Pepper.
