ks...
Don't worry. I got mine 6 weeks early. I am now 50 years and 2 days old. So far, it's been as good as the other side. Just because those mean ol AARPs want you to be a member doesn't mean your life is over. I've got an 8-year-old and a 6-year-old who are on my case about being old, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

You can turn in somebody's name and address anytime -- that's what a colleague of mine did to a former boss when she turned 40. She wasn't happy about it and canceled the subscription to the magazine. After she and her husband "retired," they really cranked up and just opened their second Subway.

I'll get mine next year. I put it in the so what category.
But moving to more important things...
Nice baby quilt. Nine patches with some fussy cut squares? Gift to someone or charity quilt?
If you ever want to make the easiest double wedding ring quilt, I took a class at the Vermont Quilt Festival on strip piecing one. It is not one of the 'cheating' methods where you applique it on or anything. It is a tradional double wedding ring, just the rings are made so fast!
Blue and yellow color wash rings on a white background.
Unfortunately the weather looks good for the weekend so I may not have much quilting time. And my Mom is here so I may have to wait.
Bummer.
How is the recovery going? Have you talked to your PT person about quilting therapy?

The other squares are chenille with a bunny appliqued and then ragged edge. Gift for nephew and wife expecting first baby on 08-08-08!
Working on flexibility with PT... on to strengthening next week. So far, so good!
I would love to make a double wedding ring.... it's on my list for "some day".... maybe retirement, but then that gets closer every day according to AARP!!

You look very young for your age!

This was meant as a compliment. I didn't mean to imply your age is old, sorry if it sounded that way. I figured you were about 42 or so.

Can you really?? That's good to know, I was just talking about doing that (joking around) for someone I know, and now I can actually do it...
