Just finished reading an enjoyable book

#1 Post by tlynn78 » Wed Jul 02, 2008 2:02 pm

short, sweet, and satisfying. It's called "Darcy's Story" by Janet Aylmer, and it's the re-telling of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" from Mr. Darcy's p-o-v. A quick read (about 2 hours, for me) but very enjoyable for this fan of P&P

Have you read some of the other Darcy and Elizabeth "alternate histories?"

Elizabeth Aston has written a few books in the Darcy universe and Pamela Aiden wrote a series that I really enjoyed as well.

This makes me think of Colin Firth.

We just finished watching Girl With The Pearl Earring last night.

Mmmmm. Colin Firth.

These Three Remain by Pamela Aidan is my favorite Darcy novel. I'm a huge Austen fan. And I love the Aidan books the best. Just watched the BBC Sense and Sensibility movie. It was great as well.

I haven't seen that in forever, but just bought the dvd, so I'll be seeing it soon.
