by a reporter whose daughter convinced him to try out...but he failed the test. :P

Some good anecdotes in here about other auditioners.
Two women behind us in the line had driven all the way from Fresno on Sunday afternoon, planning to be among the first in line for the Millionaire auditions. They had gambled all night long and finally made it into the line at 7 a.m.
That's a good way to prepare for the audition!
"I'm always positive," said Laurie Fertig, of Pioneer. A long-time fan of the Millionaire show, she much prefers present host Meredith Vieira to Regis Philbin, who hosted during the early years.

A retired registered nurse, Laurie watches as much as possible - "every day of the week, if there's time."

This devotion apparently didn't help enough. "The questions (on the audition test) weren't anything like they ask on the show," Laurie said afterwards. One math question, she felt, was more suited for a college entrance exam.
No, long-time fan Laurie, the questions are exactly like they ask on the show!

I figure it's about a three hour drive from Fresno to Jackson. Gambling all night could be an expensive way to save money on a room. And Laurie was sooooo busted.

The Math Q on my Test was more Suited for AYSTAFG than Millionaire unless you indeed have a Squared Blockage. LOL! :P
