I finally cracked into the top 100 for the month. I'm sure I'll drop back out by the end of the day, but it's nice to have worked my way back despite missing 6 questions this month.
Congratulations! Does that make 12 of us? I think there may be others with different names than here on the bored. I've missed three and had one q time out and not register. I think I am high enough that I will stay in the top 100. At least until tomorrow.TheCalvinator24 wrote:I finally cracked into the top 100 for the month. I've missed two for sure, one I just mixed up my Brontes and another one I just flat missed, but had it narrowed down to two and, had I given it a few more seconds of thought, I'm pretty sure I would have chosen the other one. For some reason I think I've missed another one, but I can't remember what it was, it just seems that it was a miniscule amount of people that got it right. Is there somewhere in your stats where it shows your questions (or at least categories) and how many you've missed? I just recently found the quiz stats like that.ulysses5019 wrote:Congratulations! I just went over to catch up on my questions and I get a message that they are currently upgrading to Version 2.0. Anybody read about this and what, if any, improvements or enhancements there may be?Catfish wrote:After a slow start this month, I went on a roll and cracked the top 100 a couple of days ago. I was 48 after I answered this morning. No matter how quickly I answer, I never get a time less than 4 seconds. I'm registered as Barbotte over there.
When in doubt, Walt Whitman. It's like a law.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:I had a Books and Authors question today and I had no clue. Walt Whitzman was an answer, so I guessed him and was correct.
As of right now I am ranked #14. I believe that I have missed two questions this month, but my connection on the old computer was unreliable, so I didn't get high time bonuses.
MrKelley is really representing the bored!
I'd gladly take Carfish's points. Maybe it's another Catfish who found "Catfish" was taken. This happens alot. When I try to substitute my Fanny-bestowed "Kittyfish," that likewise is taken. "Barbotte" is French Canadian for catfish. Since I've started learning Italian, though, I think I'll use "PesceGatto" for subsequent registrations. Here's Fanny! wrote:I always see Carfish on the listings and I thought that might be you. Ha!
You can still access a lot of other stuff and check it out, though. I'm thinking the 2.0 beta tester thing is just the people who are working on it (judging from the online user list) and making sure things are functional since they've loaded it.silvercamaro wrote:I just went over there and was informed that I couldn't sign in because I "was not a valid 2.0 Beta tester member." Swell. I hope that is a temporary glitch. Otherwise, it's an excellent way to make sure I fall from my current ranking on the final days of the month.
The unmitigated gall of some people!Catfish wrote:I'd gladly take Carfish's points. Maybe it's another Catfish who found "Catfish" was taken. This happens alot. You can now log in. Looks real sharp and they've added some games.silvercamaro wrote:I just went over there and was informed that I couldn't sign in because I "was not a valid 2.0 Beta tester member." Swell. I noticed that too. I have to go a seek it out......if I'm still in the top 100. BUT there is now a way to view everyone's score with the "next" button. And they have updated the archives! I ended up 93 last month.
I missed last night's question in physical science (I refuse to take that category off my list). I don't feel so bad. Only 2.7% got it right. Oh well. Maybe I'll hang onto the bottom rung of the top 100.

Cool. Thanks.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Go into My Sploofus.TheCalvinator24 wrote:The new format isn't showing my TQOTD rank in the top bar.
Go into Preferences / Site Settings.
Scroll down to Footer Settings. Check TQOTD or whatever stats you would like to show up.
LOL. Yuppers. I just noticed that.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:I hate that the stats are at the bottom of the page, but they don't have an option to put them at the top of the page.
That is the first thing I noticed and about the only thing I don't like. Whenever I get the timed out error message, I can find out if I got the question right or not just by looking at the top and seeing if my rank changed.ulysses5019 wrote:LOL. Yuppers. Here's Fanny! wrote:One thing I hope they have is showing the leader list past June 30 so you at least know your final place for the month.
Yay! I wonder if this means that the final standings will change when people answer questions after the end of the month.ulysses5019 wrote:I noticed that too. I'm not going to look. So far today, I've managed to hang on to my ranking ever since I answered my last question, and if I get passed by dozens of people who answer their questions late, I don't want to know! Here's Fanny! wrote:
