There was an article in the NYT this weekend about the AMC show, "Mad Men". The new season begins Sunday, July 27, 2008. The lead is Don Draper played by Jon Hamm. Ok, this guy is not too hard on the eyes!
Check out the NYT piece...

Did you see the Best of Mad Men special. It was really worth watching.
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Thanks, Fuzz and Mel. I missed MM the first time through b/c the channel was under the radar in my channel-surfing. You've reminded me to zip season 1 to the top of my Blockbuster queue. I recently became DVR (the greatest invention since the Internet) capable, so I won't miss season 2.
Love,

Other neato anachronisms include a chart on rising ciggy sales and a story on the ADA approving Crest as a dentifrice. All told, it's the cat's pajamas!
